Blue Lagoon: The Surfing Spot of the North
Blue Lagoon sits at the northernmost coast of the Philippines, a cove with white sand and turquoise blue waters. With huge waves coming from the West Philippine Sea – surfers love this small bit of paradise.
Fondly called Maira-ira Beach by the locals, it houses plenty of resorts and restaurants nearby. Aside from the extreme sport of surfing, you can also swim here along with a lot of outdoor activities. If you’re looking to surf, it is best to visit during November to July when the waves are bigger.
Marked by two little islands called the Twin Islands, your trip to Blue Lagoon is guaranteed to be comfortable. Nearby is the Bantay Abot Cave, which you can visit and explore while you’re in the area.
Experience a Boracay-like location while not dealing with the stream of vacationers trying to get a piece of the paradise. Visit Blue Lagoon on your next long weekend!
